The Centre for Applied Archaeology at Salford University is the only university-based archaeology organisation to be located within a School of the Built Environment with unrivalled access to a wide range of skills from planning and surveying, to conservation and 3D visualisation. Their activities have an emphasis on industrial archaeology. The Centre also hosts the Greater Manchester Archaeological Advisory Service.
